What is consequential therapy?
Consequential therapy is a systematic approach to healing
mental, emotional and physical traumas. Microdoses of homeopathic remedies are
given to encourage the body to heal. Made of natural substances from the
vegetable (herbal), animal and mineral kingdoms, these remedies have been
used for over 200 years without any side effects or toxicity. How is it different from classical homeopathy?
In order to move towards health, past issues must be resolved. A client's
timeline of past traumas provides the practitioner with a tool to more precisely
select a homeopathic treatment. A multiple number of homeopathic remedies may be given
at the same time
for multiple traumas in consequential therapy, whereas classical homeopathy only
uses a single remedy.
What does my consultant need to know?
In your initial interview you will be asked questions about your general
health. Be sure to tell your consultant about any weak organs, medications you
are taking and any specific health concerns. You will not be asked or
encouraged to discontinue allopathic medications without consulting your
physician.
How do I develop my personal time line?
Your consultant will give you a worksheet to aid you. (See the sample
timeline on this site.) Include such
things as accidents, surgeries and emotional losses or traumas. Include
approximate dates and how you felt when they happened. Together you and your
consultant will fine-tune the timeline as you progress in your treatment.
What if I miss something on my timeline? Or what if I can't remember
something?
Don't worry. Progress will be at your pace. Your body will remember,
even if you don't, since traumas aren't merely mental, but are also rooted in
physical manifestations.
Why am I not healing faster?
It took a lifetime to acquire these traumas. Be patient and
allow the body to heal at its own pace. There are no quick fixes in true
healthcare. Allow a full month to clear each trauma on your timeline.
Can I do my consults by phone?
Phone consultations have been done many times; however, it is more accurate to
find a remedy for someone physically present than it is to choose a remedy over
the phone. It is preferable that a client come into the office whenever
possible, at least for the initial interview.
Do my children need to be present for you to treat them?
It's best to see them personally, even when they are on their worst behavior!
Children usually like coming to HealthWorks since they don't have to be touched, poked or
stuck.
Do I really need to contact my practitioner every month?
This depends on your commitment to your healing process. Many clients find if
they wait too long between visits or follow-up calls they tend to lose energy and focus. It is very
important to follow what works for each individual. Occasionally, a client
may need to be seen more often for an acute illness.
What can I expect after I take my consequential therapy remedy?
Most timeline trauma remedies take about ten to fourteen days to act. At this point,
you will experience a healing response. Often, clients report fatigue and
emotional outbursts. This is normal, but if you are not comfortable, call your
consultant. Other responses may include achy joints and rashes. These usually
disappear quickly, within twenty-four hours or less. All of this is a sign
the remedies are working.
What about antidoting consequential therapy?
Consequential therapy does not appear to be easily antidoted (or its
action reversed) except by other
forms of energy medicine. If you are considering acupuncture, bodywork or use of
other homeopathic remedies, please inform your consultant, since these do affect
healing.
Can I take homeopathic remedies for an acute illness or injury while doing
consequential therapy?
Naturally, if you are injured, you may take Arnica or Hypericum. However, if you
experience an acute illness, such as a cold or the flu, it is more likely to be
a reaction to the remedy. If you have questions, call your consultant. Short
calls are billed at $10-30, plus a charge for any remedies sent.
Is consequential therapy expensive?
The initial consultation is $150; the following visits, by phone or in the office, are $60. Remedy costs are additional. HealthWorks does not accept
insurance reimbursements.
How long is allowed for a consultation?
Your first consultation, during which your homeopath will get to know
you, is generally one to one-and-a-half hours long. Follow-up visits are a half
hour.
How often do I see my consultant for consequential therapy?
Every four weeks--or longer if you are feeling great! This is your
commitment to the healing process. If you choose to complete your timeline, it
may take up to three years (one trauma per month plus time to clear inherited
weaknesses). Your consultant is available by phone or appointment
between visits for any questions you may have.
